Dallas Voice Lesson Scholarships

I was lucky enough to receive several scholarships as a young music student.  I am very happy to have the opportunity to give back.

The Thank You Scholarships are needs based half price lessons for children or teenagers, who would otherwise not be able to afford voice or piano lessons with Christina Dragoo.  There are currently 2 thank you scholarship openings.  These are given in gratitude to my generous teachers Gwendolyn LytleCarol VanessPatrice MichaelsEvelyn HarrisJoseph Martorano, and Barbara Marden.

The Barbara Maloney Memorial Scholarship is given in memory of Barbara Maloney a lifelong student of music.  Barbara had a beautiful operatic soprano voice and was a skilled pianist.  She enjoyed singing a wide variety of musical styles and was always generous to fellow music lovers.  This is a needs based scholarship for 6 months of voice lessons with Christina Dragoo at $10 a lesson.  In January there will be an opening for any dedicated music student, who would otherwise not be able to afford voice lessons.

To apply for Dallas singing lesson scholarships, please email christinadragoo@gmail.com.  Include in the email your name and contact info.  I will ask you to submit a brief letter of recommendation and meet with me for an informal trial lesson.  Scholarships are granted to students with financial need who are enthusiastic learners, able to rise to new challenges, maintain good attendance, and commit to practicing between voice lessons.

The Henry Ebert Memorial Scholarship has been awarded.  It is given in honor of Henry Ebert, one of the founders of Opera Pasadena. Henry was a lover of opera and especially the operettas of Gilbert and Sullivan.  This is a needs based scholarship for 6 months of lessons with Christina Dragoo at $10 a lesson.  It is currently open to any earnest student of opera or musical theatre, who would otherwise not be able to afford voice lessons with Christina Dragoo.
