Young Singers

Dallas Voice Lessons for Children

La Boheme Rehearsal

Young singers deserve the absolute best in music instruction.

I have over 10 years of experience working with young singers.  I guide my students to develop healthy and beautiful singing voices.  Many of  my youngest students have performed at the professional level: as child actors in movies and commercials, singing the national anthem at Angel Stadium, as members of children’s choruseswith professional opera companies and even performing roles in operas and musicals.  I provide all of my young singers with age appropriate performing opportunities and with the training to be successful singing actors.

I believe in nurturing my young students and my teaching style is fun and supportive.

In each lesson I devote some time to teaching sight singing and ear training.  I am a trained and certified Kodaly instructor for levels I & II (elementary and middle school).  I am also trained in the Orff based Music Rhapsody method of teaching music for babies, toddlers and preschoolers.  I use musical games and silly songs to make music education and literacy fun.

Singing is an ideal first instrument.  It is joyful expression and comes very naturally to children.  There is no expensive equipment for the parents to buy because your child already has a voice!

I proudly welcome children of all ages and levels to my vocal studio.
